This policy explains how Sarah Lupton, an independent licensed life insurance agent ("I," "we" or "us"), collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit sarahlupton.com, respond to one of our ads, or contact us by phone, text or email.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote through a form (on our website or on Facebook or Instagram), call, text or email us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, state, age or date of birth, the type and amount of coverage you're interested in, and your contact preferences.

Information we collect during a quote or application. To find coverage that fits, we may ask about your health, tobacco use, height and weight, medications, occupation, income, beneficiaries and existing insurance. We collect this only when you choose to get a quote or apply, and we use it only to quote and apply for insurance on your behalf.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, using cookies or similar tools. If you reach us through an ad, the ad platform (for example, Meta) may share information about how you responded to that ad.

How we use your information

• To prepare quotes and compare coverage options from insurance carriers
• To contact you by phone, text or email about your request, including appointment scheduling and reminders
• To submit applications and help you through underwriting and policy delivery
• To provide ongoing service on your policy
• To keep records required by law and by the carriers we work with
• To improve our website and advertising

Calls, texts and AI assistants

If you give consent, we may contact you by phone, text or email, including with automated technology and AI assistants that help with things like scheduling appointments and answering basic questions. A licensed agent handles all insurance advice and recommendations. Calls may be recorded or transcribed for quality and record-keeping; where the law requires, we'll tell you at the start of the call.

Text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive calls or texts is not required to buy any product.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you:

• Insurance carriers, to get quotes and process applications. Carriers may verify information through industry sources such as the MIB and prescription history databases, as described in their own application disclosures.
• The insurance agencies I'm contracted and appointed through, as needed for licensing, compliance, commissions and policy service.
• Service providers who help us run our business, such as our CRM, phone and text messaging providers, scheduling tools, email and website hosting. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Legal and regulatory reasons, such as complying with a subpoena, an insurance department request or other legal obligations.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as password-protected systems and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

We keep your information as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, regulatory and carrier record-keeping requirements.

Your choices

• Stop texts: reply STOP to any text message.
• Stop calls or emails: tell us on a call, reply to an email, or contact us using the details below, and we'll add you to our internal do-not-contact list.
• Access, correct or delete your information: contact us and we'll respond as required by the laws that apply to you. Some information must be kept to meet insurance record-keeping laws.
• Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. Contact us and we'll help you exercise them.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
